Bruce S

Additional Info

Bruce S has been playing music for the past 4 ½ decades.  Back then danceable R&B was just coming to the forefront-smooth slow music was the big thing. In the mid 70s in Brooklyn (where Bruce S was born), they were starting to have block parties with mobile DJs that had stacks of speakers. There was also another place called Riis Beach where all the soulful dance music was being played.  That's when things started to blow up!

Fast forwarding to the late 70s, clubs started opening like Promoter, Manor, Scramouch and Nell Gwynns where they played disco music. During this era Bruce S discovered his passion for all types of music.  While hanging out in clubs like Cesoir, The Loft, Buttermilk Bottom, The Gallery and the one and only Paradise Garage, he noticed parties were on another level-gigantic sound systems, large crowds and fruit bars were the norm.

People would come together to dance and party all night long until the next day, that's where Bruce S learned his extensive musical knowledge. Bruce S. can be heard every Friday 6pm-8pm dropping some serious musical wisdom, playing all types of music.

Music is for the mind, body and soul no matter who you are or where you came from.  Music heals and bring the masses together—all races, creeds and sexes.  Powerful as it may be-we can all enjoy a natural euphoria.

“Music has the power to put you in a trance, funny music makes you want to dance”….

  • Those who dance are considered insane by those who cannot hear the music.
